The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Springs, part # AL57298, you referenced are for Ford trucks from the early 1970's to the mid-2000's. So they won't fit your 2006 GMC Sierra 3500 at all.
Instead you want part # AL57275 which is the version of the LoadLifter 5000 springs that do fit your truck. And they do bolt on without much drilling. I've linked a video of the kit being installed on a 2005 Silverado which will be a similar process as your truck.
