Programmer to Help with Towing for a 2009 Ford F-150 with 5.4 Liter Motor
Question:
I plan on towing a 7000lb trailer with another 500 to 1000 lbs from Florida to Colorado. Looking for best options to increase Performance. Im also confused on whether you use these programmers in conjunction with the tow/haul button on the shifter

To answer your last question first when towing you would still use the tow/haul button when using a programmer.
What I recommend for you and your 2009 Ford F-150 with the 5.4 liter motor is the Flashpaq # SU1845. It has preprogrammed tunes for fuel economy, towing, daily driving, and performance. It is one of the easiest programmers to use and one of the most economically priced. That makes it tough to beat!
