Bronze Bushing Recommendation for Leaf Springs # e28SR

Question:

I have a Keystone Outback 5th wheel. The dealer just replaced the rear axle with a Dexter 248744 axle with a 4400lb capacity. I decided to install a wet bolt kit sorry, I didnt buy it from you It fit perfectly on the new axle, but on the old axle, I found that one eye on one spring is so undersized that it deformed the bronze bushing so much that it reduced the OD by about 1/16inch when pressed in and the neither the old nor the new bolt will go through it. I have decided to replace both springs. I measured the existing spring and found eye-to-eye to be 24-3/8, 4 leaf and width of 1-3/4. From your site, the closest match I found is your stock number SP218275. Since I am installing a wet bolt kit and have ruined one bushing, I also want a K71-291-00 bushing kit. better to have a spare and not need it than to need it and not have it I think I have done it right, but want an expert to confirm. Also, I will do a will-call since I live in St. Charles.

The leaf spring part # e28SR is a 5,000 lb capacity trailer leaf spring that measures 25-1/4 inches long. The biggest factor with picking out leaf springs is to go with the spring that matches capacity first and then length second as hangers can be moved.

The bushing kit then that you mentioned of part # K71-291-00 is the correct fitting bushing as well.
