It all depends on if your tire is compatible with an 8" wide rim. Typically we see that 225/75-15 tires fit 6", 6-1/2", and 7" wheels, but you just need to verify that your specific tire is compatible with your wheel width.

If you took that measurement on your wheel then you want to make sure that you only measured to the bead seats for the width. For example, the Taskmaster Steel Modular Trailer Wheel # TA59RR measures 15" x 6" where 6" is the bead seat width. I have attached a photo and review video for you to reference as well.

As long as your tire is rated for the width of your trailer wheel then you will have no problems. This is also considering that you keep the tire properly inflated to the recommended psi, you don't overload it, and you adhere to the max speed rating of the tire as well.
