Recommended Trailer Axle Hub/Drum and Brakes for 1984 Tandem Axle Trailer Without Standard Axle
Question:
I have an 84 tandem axle travel with what I belive is Dexstar 3500lb axles the drums say Dayton with a part number of 8222. I was trying to order brakes with baking plates when I realized it has welded on backing plates. Is there any way you could point me into the right direction of axle identification so I can order correct parts. Thank you

With your 3500lb axles we have many brake assembly options, however they all fit on the brake flange that is 4 hole square. The drums you pictured are agricultural and we don't have anything that is a fit for a replacement.
My recommendation is to change your axle out for something that will allow you the industry standard size options and wheel options. My recommendation is the etrailer Trailer Axle w/ Electric Brakes # e43SR. This will give you all you need except for the wheels as long as your springs are 74 inches center to center and hubs from face to face are 89 inches.
Let me know if you need more recommendations. I've attached some videos to assist.
