Height of the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider for E-Bikes # HLY84FR when Folded Up
Question:
On the HR1450E, what is the measurement from the lowest part of the rack to the top when in its upright folded position? I recently got pulled over by the local PD for my unloaded Thule rack obscuring the license plate on my 2013 Nissan Rogue. Must be a slow crime day.

Expert Reply:
I did some math and determined that on the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider for e-bikes # HLY84FR it is approximately 24 inches from the bottom of the rack to the highest point when folded up.
You might want to look at a rack with a different design such as the Saris Freedom SuperClamp # SA4025F. There is just less material and parts to block a license plate with this rack. It is rated at 60 pounds per bike. I have linked a video review for you.
