Troubleshooting 2015 Jeep Cherokee Left Turn Signal and Trailer Wiring Harness

Question:

Have 2015 jeep Cherokee with curt hitch and wiring harness. Left tail has quit working. Does the curt harness run all the way to the tail light plug,and did that replace factory harness to tail light assembly.

Your 2015 Jeep Cherokee with Curt Hitch and Wiring harness will not replace the factory harness, but rather connect to it. It should not affect the function of your turn signal or tail light on your vehicle. I recommend you start troubleshooting by checking for fuses and relays outlined in your owner's manual. Then check the bulb on your vehicle tail light to ensure the bulb doesn't need replacing. Finally, use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to ensure you have the wiring functions reaching that tail light. If you don't have functions making it to your tail light and your relays and fuses are intact, then you will need to trace the wires with your circuit tester every few feet to find a short in the wire and replace with # 16-1-1 as needed.
