Troubleshooting Wiring that Intermittently Flashes on Rough Roads  

Question:

intermittent problem. have checked all connections at trlr tongue junction box and ground wire. flashes more often on rough roads. trlr dealer pulled all 4 wheels, said saw no problems, end of trailer2014 Keystone plug in has been replaced. thanks

Since you have had it looked at by the dealer with no solution, it appears your wiring itself is not the issue. It sounds like because it happens more on rough roads that there could be a loose connection or a slight loss of power for a split second and then a reconnection. My recommendation is to clean your trailer connections well with a little sand paper or steel wool to mitigate even slight corrosion in the connections and then use dielectric grease # 11755 in the connections to keep moisture and debris out. The dielectric grease will allow electrical connection to have a clean connection, so it may solve your issue.

The only other possibility is a faulty wiring, so triple check your ground connections to ensure a bare metal to metal connection and then you can use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to check for any shorts and replace wire as needed.
