The HitchMate TruckStep Extendable Mounted Step For 2 Inch Hitches, Item # HE4045, is made from steel. It will give you a total extension of about 18 inches and will work with your tailgate down. It has a non-slip molded step surface for safety and easier use. It works with 2 inch by 2 inch trailer hitch receivers and has a 500 pound weight capacity.
