Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller Unique Features That Set It Apart From Competitors
Question:
Why is the brake controller so expensive

The Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 3 Axles - Proportional # RED44FR has some features that other brake controllers do not that make it easy to recommend despite the cost difference.
The Tow-Pro Elite has a dash mount that doesn't have the typical knee knocker installation. It actually installs in your dash or console in one of the preexisting button locations or can be added so it looks like a factory part of your vehicle. This also is a really nice feature for some of the newer vehicles that have the knee air bag systems.
The single knob has multiple functions and uses different LED lighting to help you with your adjustment settings. It also has the manual override feature for those instances where more control of your braking is required.
One of the really nice features is the option to change from the proportional braking that is best for on the road use to the user control mode which is an adjustable time delayed mode better for off-road trailering.
If you do not want the look or the additional expense, then I recommend you simply go with a proportional controller instead like the Prodigy P3 # 90195 which is a customer favorite.
