How to Remove the Factory Driver Side Mirror on a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500
Question:
I have a 2006 Ram 3500 laramie and someone hit my drivers door mirror while i was parked. I am trying to figure out how to take off the outside inside door housing to replace the mirror. There is one screw but the triangle shaped housing covering the bolts to hold on the mirror wont come off. Any other thing i need to do? Thank you.

The panel on the inside of the driver side door that covers the bolts to remove the side mirror is also attached to the door panel. In order to remove that panel to get to the bolts that hold on the mirror, you will first remove the screw like you have done. You will then need to remove the entire interior door panel. Then you will have access to the mounting hardware for the K-Source Custom Flip Out Towing Mirror # KS60114C to be installed. This may sound like a chore but you should be able to do it without much problem.
I've linked the page to all your replacement options for your convenience.
