Roof mounted Cargo Box Recommendation for a 2007 Jeep Patriot

we cant seem to find a cargo carrier to fit the top of our daughters 2007 jeep patriot.

If the 2007 Jeep Patriot has a factory roof rack that includes crossbars that run side to side, there are numerous direct fits depending on what size you are looking for. The box you have referenced, the Yakima RocketBox, # Y07192, is a fit. I recommend this box often for 2 reasons. First, it has a decent amount of space at 14 cubic feet.

Second, compared to other boxes with similar capacity, this box is shorter at 74 inches long. This makes it compatible with shorter roof vehicles and offers a higher degree of probability that you will be able to open the rear hatch all of the way. If the Patriot has side rails that run front to back, but no crossbars, you will first need to add crossbars. You can use Thule Evo raised rail feet, # TH710401, and SquareBars, # TH712200. With the crossbars installed you will be able to mount the box.
