Question:
I have tractor with a European round 7-way plug. Is there a simple adapter I can plug in to make it a standard rv type 7 way?

Expert Reply:
A Euro 7-way does not have the same functions as the traditional 7-way, it is basically the equivalent to a traditional 4-way. In order to convert from a euro 7 to a US 7 way you will need to cut off your current one and hardwire a 7-way. You will also have to add wiring for the other functions. I recommend the Hopkins Endurance Quick-Install 7-Way Trailer Connector # HM47210 for the 7-way. In order to install it you need to these the wires that you currently have and connect them to the correct wires on the new 7-way. Then the other wires you will need to run wiring to connect to the correct circuits on you tractor.
