Adapting a B&W Gooseneck to Use a Fifth Wheel Hitch on a 2008 Ford F-350
Question:
I have a Reese 5th wheel slider in my truck with plates mounted in bed. I purchased a new truck that has BW goose neck hitch installed. Do you have a adapter that I can use the Reese slider without removing plates from other truck My original truck is a 2006 Ford F-150 with 6’ bed it has the hi jacker fifth wheel slider in it with plates bolted in bed and frame. I now have a 2008 f350 long bed 8’ that has a BW gooseneck hitch installed. Wanting to find fifth wheel adapter that will work on 2008. Would prefer to use the hitch I have in 2006 if a adapter is available

It sounds like you'd like to move your Demco HiJacker Autoslide, part # DM8550041 from your older 2006 F-150 with industry standard base rails to a new 2008 F-350 that has a B&W Goosneck, part # BWGNRK1108. If this is the case, then you can use the Demco Base Rails Adapter, part # DM6140. This adapter installs into the B&W Gooseneck to provide industry standard base rails.
Since you have an 8 foot bed now, your pivot point will be further back naturally, so a sliding hitch won't matter as much. It doesn't hurt anything to keep using it.
