Timbren Axle Less Kit Recommendation for Sea Ray Dual Axle Boat Trailer
Question:
Hi, I see a lot of comments and questions about the Timbren for off-road or light-duty use. I haul a 7,500 lb Sea Ray on a dual-axle trailer rated for 10,000 lbs. It has a surge braking system as one of the axles has drum brakes. The axles and brakes are pretty old, but the galvanized frame is still in good shape. Would the Timbren allow me to get rid of the leaf springs and current axles, while still allowing me to use the same surge brake actuator? Thanks!

We have Timbren Axle Kits like part # ASR5200S01 that are rated for 5,200 lbs which would work great on a 10k tandem trailer like what you have.
Then for hubs we have the part # 8-201-5UC3-EZ which fits the spindles of this axle. Then for free-backing hydraulic drums we have the part # AKFBBRK-7 which would work great with your surge brake system. These are free-backing plates too so your trailer would be able to reverse without having the brakes lock up.
