Tonneau Cover Recommendation for 2007 Dodge Ram Short Bed with Toolbox

Question:

Have a 2007 dodge ram mega cab 6.4 bed with a rail to rail toolbox. Question... Does this cover have to be fully extended, would it be possible to install this behind the toolbox and still operate correctly. And he has diamond plate bed rail caps can this be installed without removing the rail caps. Husband wants a retractable but doesnt want to get rid of his toolbox.

For your husbands 2007 Dodge Ram short bed we have one tonneau cover that is designed to fit behind a toolbox but there isn't a way we can recommend to shorten the part # 311-FMD2233.

Instead you'd want the Access Toolbox Edition Tonneau part # 834532002337. This will fit behind a toolbox that's between 19 and 21 inches wide.
