Troubleshooting Tekonsha P3 Brake Controller Install in 2005 Chevy Silverado Not Powering On

I installed my tekonsha p3 today in my 05 Silverado or with the factory trailer wiring. I checked every fuse that had trl on it and yet the control still will not turn on. Does the trailer need to be hooked up to switch the brake controller on

There are a few connections that need to be made under the hood of your 2005 Chevy Silverado for the brake controller wiring to be active. If you check out the install video and help article I attached you'll see where these connections are and how to make them. In the wiring there the stoplight circuit will be ran to controller.
