2012 Buick Enclave 4 Bike Platform Rack Recommendation that Can also Be 2 Bike Rack

Question:

I have a class three hitch mounted on my 2012 Buick Enclave. I am looking for a hitch mounted platform bike rack to transport 4 bikes. My bike is a 2017 GT Pantera Elite 27.5 wheeled bike with 2.8” wide tires. My wife has a step through cruiser with fenders and my kids have two small children’s bikes. The majority of the time I will be just transporting my bike but would occasionally take the whole family’s bikes out for a trip. I was interested in some of the 2 + 2 add on models I have seen around such as the Yakima fourtimer and the Hollywood racks hr1400 but the price tags are quite high. Are there other less exsoensive and yet quality racks that I should be considering?

Platform bike racks tend to be a bit more expensive than hanging bike racks since there's more material to them and they provide the most secure attachment for bikes. This gets exaggerated when you go with a 4 bike platform rack and especially one that has an add-on that can be removed.

I really like the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE # HR1400Z for your application. This rack is incredibly solid and well built. Since one of the bikes has fenders you'll need a frame mount like what this rack has.
