Can a Sidewinder Pin Box be Used with a Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch in a Ram with RamBoxes

ive got a 2017 powerwagon with Ram boxes and a 2003 36 mobile suite ive got 16000 lb Curt slider hitch will the sidewinder work with this set up id rather not buy a new hitch ?

You can use a Sidewinder with a sliding hitch as long as you keep the sliding hitch locked in the towing position. Please note that the Sidewinders are not compatible with the Curt Q Series 5th wheel hitches. If that is what you have then you will need a new hitch.

Sidewinders will allow you to tow with a Ram that has RamBoxes, but you will need to make sure that you choose the correct replacement for your current box as they are pin box specific.

The Sidewinder part # RP34FR is a direct replacement for a handful of pin numbers including the common 1621 and 0719 box numbers. For an upgraded version that utilizes an air spring you will want to go with part # RP61422 instead.
