We do have base plates that will fit a 2003 Chevy Tahoe 4x4 as long as the front suspension uses torsion bars. You will need # 199-5. These are XL style base plates so you will need a tow bar that is compatible with XL plates.
I recommend the RoadMaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar, # RM-520. It is one of our best-selling tow bars for XL style base plates. I have included a link to the installation details and a video review for you to view.
There are 3 additional parts needed for flat towing a vehicle; safety cables, lighting, and a supplemental braking system. For cables, I recommend Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables, # RM-643. The coiled design will help keep the cables off the ground.
For lighting you can use a magnetic kit, like # RM-2120, or a more permanent solution using Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, # RM-154. I have included a link to a video showing a typical diode installation for you to view.
Most states now require supplemental braking on vehicles being flat towed. I recommend the Roadmaster Even Brake, # RM-9400. This works like a proportional brake controller applying the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This method is the safest way to brake and saves wear an tear on both vehicles.
I have included a link to our series of FAQ articles on flat towing a vehicle that contains a plethora of helpful information.
