The overall capacity of the Curt Cargo Carrier, part # C18110 will be limited by the lowest capacity of your vehicle, trailer hitch, or the carrier itself. Whatever the lowest capacity is will include the 30 pounds of the carrier.
For instance, if you have a vehicle with a 200 pound tongue weight capacity, you'll be able to carry 170 pounds of gear in the carrier.
The carrier's overall maximum weight is 300 pounds.
