Fifth Wheel Hitch and Rail Kit Recommendation for 2016 GMC Sierra 2500HD

Question:

I am buying a Jayco Eagle HT 5th Wheel with a new product Mor/Ryde Orbital Pin Box, GVWR of trailer is 10,200 lbs. My truck is a 2016 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Denail Duramax Crew Cab with a 6 1/2 foot bed. Can you recommend a quality hitch that will give me a smooth ride?

Since your trailer has the MORyde Orbital Pin box you can go with a stationary hitch in your 2016 GMC Sierra 2500 short bed. Normally you'd need a slider hitch due to your short bed for turning clearance.

I really like the Reese 20k part # RP30081. This hitch has a jaw that provides 360 degrees of contact and has a cushioned head which means you'll have a very smooth ride.

For a rail kit you'll want to go with a custom install kit as they minimize drilling and install time like the part # RP50066-58.
