Should Gas be Able to Leak Out from Camco Propane Supply Hose # CAM59053 when Removed from Tank

Propane leaks from tank when green knob is removed.

When you disconnect the Camco Propane Supply Hose # CAM59053 from your propane tank the LP gas should not leak from the tank. Likewise, any gas in the line should not leak out from the hose. If it does then the most likely issue is a stuck or damaged check valve. You could most likely get it working again by blasting some compressed air right where the valve is. If it continues to be an issue then the leaking parts will have to be replaced.
