have a 2000jimmy what base plate and tow bar would tis year take

Expert Reply:
The Roadmaster Classic Base Plate Kit, part # 165-2 would be the correct choice for a base plate kit if your 2000 GMC Jimmy was a 4-wheel drive or an Envoy, but not a Black Diamond or an Xtreme.
I attached a helpful link that has all of the available base plate kits for your 2000 GMC Jimmy for you to check out.
All of these should work well with your Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar, part # RM-520 that you referenced.
You will also need the following to complete your setup:
Magnetic Towing Light Kit, part # RM-2120, for an easy to install, less permanent solution.
Or for a more permanent solution, Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, part # RM-154 (I attached a link to an FAQ page on how to wire a vehicle with a diode system)
RoadMaster 68 inch Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables - 6,000 lbs, part # RM-643
Roadmaster Tow Bar Quick Disconnect Kit, RM-201
You might be interested in purchasing a Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Proportional Braking System, part # RM-9400. It will help your tow vehicle handle the additional braking responsibilities of towing your vehicle. Also, in most states supplemental braking is required when flat towing a vehicle. I would recommend you check with your local laws and DOT regulations for your state and all states you plan on traveling through.
You should consult with your owners manual to determine if you can safely tow your vehicle as is, or if you need additional parts like a transmission lube pump or a drive shaft disconnect.
