Preventing Bike Wheels From Spinning When Carried on Hitch-Mounted Swagman Titan Bike Rack

Question:

Is it possible to secure the handle bars and front wheel on this or any hanging bike rack? It seems that the front wheel is just hanging, and could start wobbling or trying to spin when driving on the freeway.

Expert Reply:

You can use a strap like the Thule Tie-Down Strap, part # 753-2030-03 to secure the front wheel to the frame of the bike or the bike rack to prevent it from turning or spinning.

Also when carrying womens, childrens, or alternative frame bicycles, I would recommend using the Swagman Frame Bike Adapter Bar, part # 64005. This will allow you to carry those types of bikes level on your bike rack. I have included some links to instructions and videos for you.
