Question:
Will this controller work on my vehicle? Do I need too order an adapter? My Audi dealer says no, but the description says there is aVW housing and two wires to order. Thanks.

The Hayes Syncronizer Trailer Brake Controller -Time Delayed # HA81725 can be used on your 2015 Audi Q7. You will need to hardwire your controller, but I recommend using the wiring adapter # HA81789-HBC to allow you the quick connection so you can use this controller on other vehicles if desired. You will also need to use additional wiring as you pointed out. You will need to ask your authorized dealer for #1J0-972-782 housing (qty. 1) and #000-979-228 wire/terminal assemblies (qty. 2). Please see the attached Tech Bulletin for more information.
Your other option is to use the # ETBC7 kit to utilize a 4-way connection and then use the Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # TK94FR instead. If you already have a 7-way, then you will be set to use the controller as is. If you don't have a 4-way, then you will need to add kit # 119250KIT first.
