Removing Old Latch to Install Extang Replacement Rear Latch Assembly # EX1073
Question:
I must be stupid but I cant figure out how to remove the old and install the new one.. Are there instructions? My part is the EX1073 rear latch extang-express

I spoke with my contact at Extang regarding the Replacement Rear Latch Assembly # EX1073 that you referenced. She stated that there is a single screw on the underside of the latch that needs to be removed. You may need to take off the rail in order to access the screw, but once removed, the latch should simply slide out from the assembly.
I have attached an image of the latch assembly that you might also find helpful.
