Is Brake Light Relay Required w/Hopkins Tow Bar Wiring & SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO on 2017 Jeep Wrangler

If I install the Hopkins HM56200 wiring kit and SMI Stay-N-Play braking system on a 2017 Jeep Wrangler with LED lights will I need to also install the RM88400 Brake Relay kit?

Yes, if you were to use anything other than a magnetic light kit on your 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited you will need to use the brake light relay # RM-88400. The relay is meant to prevent the Jeep's brake signal for overriding the turn signal coming from the tow vehicle/RV when applying the brakes with a turn signal on.
So if you use the Hopkins wiring harness # HM56200 you will need to use the brake light relay. I have included a link to a video showing an example installation of the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO, # SM99251.
