will this fit into the roof of a Ram 1500 Cargo van Promaster?

Technically you could install the Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent # FV802250 in the roof of your Promaster van. But because the roofs on vehicles are much thinner than those on RVs or trailers the vent assembly will stick down a few inches from the roof/ceiling.
The Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent # VP-543SP isn't as large but would be a better fit in your Promaster. I have linked a video of it for you.
