will the Thule outway platform fit my KIA Sorento? i do not have a hitch and i am looking for a platform solution.

Yes, the Thule OutWay Platform-Style 2 Bike Carrier, item # TH65JV, can be used to carry 2 bikes on the 2005 Kia Sorento.
We recently had a chance to test the Thule OutWay with the manufacturer representative here at out facility, and this rack is an excellent choice. It is super adjustable for any type of bike frame and for bikes of different dimensions and styles. We have a video review of this rack for you to check out that includes a road test with the rack mounted on a VW Jetta, see link.
With this rack adapter bars are not needed for girls bikes because the top attachment point can be rotated to grab the bike at the seat post and the bike can be positioned on the rack for attachment at that point.
