Recommended Drilling Locations for Reese Elite Puck System on 2015 GMC 2500 6-1/2 Foot Bed
Question:
I looked at the instructions for locations of drilling the holes but I am unsure of where they want me to place the tape measure according to the picture. Im assuming the 9 1/8 measurement is pulled from butting the tape measure into the wheel well and then the 32 5/8 measuremetn is butting into the tailgate with it closed or do I need to put the tailgate down and measure from the very end of the bed? This is going on a 2015 gmc 2500hd with 6.6ft bed

To install the Under-Bed Elite Rails # RP30868, you will want to drop the tailgate down and measure from the rear edge of the bed. I've attached videos to assist as well as the installation videos. I reached out to my contact at Reese to confirm the 6 foot bed instructions will be the one you will also use for your 6-1/2 foot bed. The dimensions for the sides are an approximation. What you will want to do is find the a center of your truck bed and then measure 15 inches on each side to get your drilling points lined up with the rear measurement of 32-5/8 inches to the center of the rear pucks and 45 inches on center for the forward pucks.
Start with your small pilot hole to confirm your placement prior to making the larger holes.
