Can Proportional Brake Controller Install in 2008 Land Rover Range Rover Sport
Question:
fitting a proportional brake controller to a Land Rover Range Rover Sport Supercharged SUV. Your site is terrific but before I buy a used SUV, I want to confirm that I can adopt a good proportional brake controller to it. Im towing my race car in a Case 14 foot 5,200 GVWR unit with electric brake and solid axle and 7-wire set up. The trouble is that Ive tried to contact the dealer and a well known truck modification firm inquiring about what seems to be an issue with the 2006 - 2010 Land Rover Range Rover Sport Supercharged line. Ive been reading that there isnt a plug and play connection for the unit in the dashboard area and that installing a wiring harness is not possible, or at least a PITA! Dont understand why and as much as I can and will install the set up if needed, Im concerned that both the dealer nor the tricky truck place say they cant do it. Can you provide guidance and a recommended unit/harness/accessories for that range of years for that line of Range Rovers AND perhaps an installer in the Annapolis Maryland area?? Great site thanks!

So you referenced a 2008 Land Rover Range Rover Sport and we have a quick-install harness that fits that vehicle as long as it comes with the factory tow package. The part # 3035-P is a confirmed fit and plugs into the vehicle's wiring under the dash which will then allow you to connect a proportional brake controller like the P3 part # 90195. It would be a very painless install.
