Can a Tool Box be Installed with the TracRac TracONE # TA27000XTB on a 2005 Ford F-150

Question:

Can Item # TA27000B be installed with a low profile, truck bed tool box that mounts on the rails of the bed? Can it be installed without moving the tool box toward the center of the bed? Can the tool box be installed on top of the Rack foot?

Since the TracRac TracONE # TA27000XTB that you referenced (or any ladder rack for that matter) installs on the bed rails of your 2005 Ford F-150 you will not be able to utilize a tool box that sits on the bed rails of your truck. Technically you could put the box on top of the clamps, but that would most likely damage them and/or your box.

The only way to get them to fit together is to either move the tool box or the front set of bars on the rack towards the middle of the bed.

You could, however, use a tool box that sits in the middle of your bed and doesn't utilize the bed rails. I have attached a link to our selection of tool boxes for you to filter through. You will start off by choosing the length of your bed and if it is the Stepside or not.
