Can a Yakima Trunk Mount Bike Rack Hold a Single 50 Pound Bike on a 2016 Fiat 500X

Does this rack hold 1 bike that weighs 50 lbs? I have an e-bike that weighs 50 lbs. and want to know if this rack will hold. I need to use on a 2016 Fiat 500X Thanks

The Yakima HangOut 3 Bike Rack # Y02638 has a single bike capacity of 35 pounds even though the rack has a total capacity of 90 pounds. This means if you put one bike on the rack it cannot weigh more than 35 pounds. There are no trunk mount bike racks that are rated high enough for a single 50 pound bike.
Your only option for a bike that heavy is to install a trailer hitch, # C13271, on your 2016 Fiat 500X and use a hitch mounted bike rack rated high enough for the 50 pound bike. I recommend the Saris Freedom # SA4412B which is the most economical bike rack that can hold a 50 pound bike. I have linked a video review of this bike rack for you.
