Replacement Hardware for Longview Custom Towing Mirrors on 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500
Question:
Recently purchased the LVT-1600 kit for our 2008 Chev Silverado 1500. The extensions fit the mirror, but the disk hooks are not long enough to allow the adapter to get past the OE mirror. Therefore the J-hooks will not enter the adapter. Do they come in different lengths? We can send pics if youd like.

Expert Reply:
The Original Custom Towing Mirror Slide-On Mirrors (Pair) # CTM1600 or manufacturer part number LVT-1600 is a confirmed fit for a 2008 Chevy Silverado. There are not longer hooks available for that particular mirror fit, but we do have the replacement hardware # KLV-4010 available for this mirror. There are other hardware options like # KLV-2310-C available, but I can't confirm a fit on your mirror.
