Recommended Tailgate Lock and Backup Camera for 2006 Dodge Ram 3500

Hello. I am looking for a tailgate handle with the backup camera and a lock for a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 Laramie. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I do have a couple options for you, however there is not a tailgate lock available for your 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 that features a built-in backup camera.

For just a tailgate lock that is confirmed to fit your truck, I recommend looking at the Pilot Integrated OEM Tailgate Lock # LH-007. This lock is custom-fit for your truck and features an OEM design that will secure your cargo and help prevent theft. 2 keys are included. If you would rather have a power lock for your tailgate, I recommend the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock # PAL8340-PL9510. This powered lock will actually wire into the existing power door locks on your truck so when you lock your truck, the tailgate locks as well. It will install inside the existing OEM handle. You can add the Switch Kit # PAL9520 if your truck does not currently have power locks.

Then for a separate backup camera, I recommend checking out the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera # HM50002. This is a really nice system that features visual cues on a 3.5 inch color monitor, along with audible alerts that will ensure you are backing up safely and can hookup to your trailer without hassle. The license plate frame with camera and sensors mounts to your truck with the included hardware.
