what are the springs on the ends for?

The springs on the ends of the Camco Premium RV Drinking Water Hose # CAM22823 are to prevent them from twisting and to keep a consistent flow of water.
This 10 foot hose has an inner diameter of 5/8 inches and has a tough PVC construction that is made right here in the USA.
If you plan on using the same connection parts, like the same spigot for water your lawn/garden, then I also recommend checking out the Camco Quick Hose Connect # CAM20143. This makes connecting your hose hassle-free and doesn't require you to check to make sure you have securely screwed on the ends of the hose each time you use it.
Review videos for both products have been attached for you to check out as well.
