Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2006 Honda CR-V
Question:
I have a 2 hitch on my 2006 Honda CRV and am looking for a bike rack. I need 12 from the pin to clear the tire. Can you tell me what my options are?

For your 2006 Honda CR-V, I recommend the Swagman Trailhead, # S63360. This rack measures 14-1/2 inches from hitch pin hole center to the back of the upright bar so it will clear the spare tire. It also features anti-sway cradles and the ability to tilt down away from the vehicle for greater access to the rear hatch. I have included a link to the installation details for you.
The Yakima HoldUp, # Y02443, that you have referenced measure 12 inches from pin hole center to the nearest wheel loop when in the down position. But when folded up, it only measures 7 inches so it will not clear the spare tire when folded up.
