Solution for Bolt Hitch Pin Lock to Be Used on New Vehicle
Question:
Just traded my 2015 GMC SIERRA for new 2017 GMC SIERRA. Is it possible to recode new ign key to my existing hitch pin lock that is coded to the 2015 I traded?

The Bolt Trailer Lock part # BL7023582 that you have can only be keyed one time to a vehicle key. Instead of trying to re-key your brand new truck to the lock. I think it would be wiser overall to go with a new # BL7023582 instead.
Re-keying your ignition would most likely be more trouble and money than it's worth.
