Brake Controller Constantly Drawing Power From Battery
Question:
I think my Prodigy P2 is constantly drawing power on my battery? Could it be hooked up wrong or is there a way to manually shut it off?

Expert Reply:
The Prodigy P2 # 90885 like all other electric brake controllers will have a very small constant draw from your battery. This is not something to be alarmed about as it is part of the design. It's purpose is to allow the connection to remain so you don't need to reboot each time you start and stop your vehicle. It is such a small draw that you don't need to be concerned about it draining your battery unless you are leaving the vehicle for multiple months in storage. If that is the case, you can simply unplug the unit from the pigtail until you want to reprogram it and use it again.
