Recommended Snow Cables for 2015 GMC Acadia with Limited Clearance
Question:
I have a 2015 acadia denali and I am trying to find cables for my front wheel drive vehicle. I have been told that there is a product that will not only fit my 255 55 20 tires but also more than meet S requirements for clearance. . Do you sell these and can you confirm that they will fit my vehicle. Thank you

I took a look at the online owner's manual for your 2015 GMC Acadia and did find that it is not recommended to use tire chains on this vehicle because of the limited clearance. It does go on to say, however, that another type of traction device may be used if necessary. I recommend checking your copy of the owner's manual or with a local dealer to see if Chevy consideres cables to be an acceptable alternative.
The only snow cables we have available for the 225/50-20 size tires on your Acadia are the Titan Diagonal Alloy Cable # TC747DC. These are Class S compatible chains and require a minimum of 15 mm between the tire's sidewall and the vehicle itself, and 37 mm between the top of the tire tread and the wheel well. This is the lowest clearance option we have available for your vehicle. These cable chains feature rugged wire with rollers made of alloy steel that will provide better traction in the snow. I definitely recommend adding the Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjusters # TCMA2, which will provide constant tension on the cables for a tighter, more secure fit on the tires.
These cables are confirmed to fit your tire size, but I was not able to find the exact clearance dimensions for these tires on your Acadia. I recommend taking a couple of quick measurements to see if these cables will work.
