Troubleshooting Brake Controller of 2010 Chevy Tahoe that Only Works with Manual Override
Question:
2010 Chevy Tahoe. Tekonsha Prodigy 2 I followed the instructions posted but the brakes only work when applied with the manual lever. Any idea what to look for?

Check the third brake light fuse of your 2010 Chevy Tahoe. The GM third brake light fuse is very easy to blow we've found and when it goes it takes out the ability for brake controllers to work with the brake pedal.
Easy way to check is to have someone watch and see if the third brake light comes on when you hit the brakes.
