Question:
Ram 3500 series, polarity problem. Wires have good ground. Up and down switch reverses every now and then. Never know which direction foot will travel. Hooked to battery, mounted on tongue.

If all the wiring on your electric jack is in good condition, and there doesn't seem to be a ground issue, it is likely you simply need to replace the switch itself. For your Ram 3500 Series Jack, the correct replacement switch is part # EJ-3520-PSW. This will hopefully resolve the intermittent issues you are having when operating the jack's movement.
