Can Thule Hitch Mounted Bike Rack Ski Carrier Adapter Hold Cross Country Ski Poles
Question:
I would like to know if the ski poles for my crosscountry ski will clamp into the hitch ski carrier if I buy it for our Thue Roadway bike rack.

The Thule Hitch Mounted Bike Rack Ski Carrier Adapter, # TH9033, the carrier could hold your cross country ski poles. The top clamping arm when fully closed leaves a gap of 1-1/2 inches between it and the rubber support of the rack (where the skis go). The bottom has 2 rubber pads that have a space of 1/4 inch between them.
Since the gap at the top is wider, you will need to use the included straps to hold the poles tight to the rubber part of the upper half. After loading up your skis you will be ready to hit the slopes.
