As long as the existing rails you have on your 2006 GMC Sierra 2500 HD are from the Extang Freedom Tonneau Cover part # EX9650 then the Replacement Cover for Extang Freedom Tonneau Cover part # EX19650 will work for you. If you do not have a Freedom tonneau cover then I would need to know the tonneau cover you have on your truck in order to recommend a replacement tarp for you.
