Recommended Tire Chains for a 2013 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with 245/75 R16 Sized Tires
Question:
Tire chain recommendation for 2013 Mercedes Sprinter, 245-75R-16. On road use. Would hope to not have to drive more than 40 miles at a time on mountain passes on them. Do I need just one set?

Check the owner's manual to your 2013 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. From a copy I found online it states to only use tires chains on the rear wheels and not the front. So you only need one pair. You should still verify with your owner's manual to be sure though.
I recommend the Titan Chain Alloy Chains, part # TC2323. They fit your 245/75 R16 tires and they're my favorite chains to recommend. They're made of the manganese nickel alloy, which is high quality, they're Class S so they don't require much clearance between the tires and any part of your van, and the install is pretty simple.
I've linked a video of the chains being installed so you can see the process. I recommend performing a dry run at home before you need them so you know how to do it. They can be a little confusing the first time but once you get it, for most people there's a definite "Ah Ha" sort of moment where they make sense and end up being quite easy to get on
