Expert Reply:
For the 30/9.5-15 tires you have on your 1997 Jeep Wrangler, I highly recommend the Pewag Brenta-C 4X4 Snow Tire Chains part # PWXMR80V. The Brenta-C chains have a diagonal cross chain pattern that offers superb forward and lateral traction in both snow and ice. The color-coded sections of the chain makes installation a breeze. These chains are specially designed for the bulky tires you have on your Jeep and will work nicely for you.
I also suggest reviewing the tire chain section of your owners manual for any certain stipulations in doing so.
