The etrailer.com Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-35-SA referenced in your question is designed for 3,500 pound axles and measure 10 inches x 2-1/4 inches. They also feature a 4 bolt mounting flange bolt pattern. As long as this matches what you have on your trailer, these assemblies will work great.
More and more customers and trailer manufacturers are using electric brake assemblies on boat trailers. Due to improvements in wiring insulation and heat shrink connectors, past issues with mixing electric assemblies with water are no longer as much of a problem. With that being said, we do still recommend disconnecting/unplugging the drum brakes before backing into the water. Using heat shrink butt connectors like # DW05745-10 are also a good idea when splicing the wires together.
These are very nice, durable brake assemblies that feature E-coated backing plates that resist wear and corrosion, along with automotive-grade friction material that is molded to the brake shoes to ensure a longer life. They have a limited 1-year warranty and both the Left Side and Right Side assemblies are included.
I have attached a couple short video demonstrations on this kit that you can also take a look at.
