Troubleshooting the Pilot 2-6 Brake Electronic Brake Controller Part # 80550  

Question:

Here’s a picture of the controller . Have to unplug it for them to go out . This is without the trailer plugged in .

Thanks for the photo! I sent this picture to my technical support contact at Cequent (Pro Series) and they stated that this is caused by an internal error in the brake controller and cannot be repaired. The controller will need to be replaced and for a suitable replacement I recommend using the Tekonsha PowerTrac Electronic Brake Controller part # 39523 with the Brake Control Plug-In Harness part # 20127. The PowerTrac controller is also a timed delayed controller that is very easy to use and set-up. A green light is present on the controller when the trailer is connected and the color of the light changes from green to orange and then red as the power output of the device increases. I have attached a review video of the above brake controller for you as well.
