Can Axle Over Under Kit be Installed on Trailer with 2 inch Square Axles

Question:

I just purchased an older, ‘77 model 16’ Gooseneck brand stock trailer. My truck is a late model, leveled stock rear suspension, 3500 RAM. The front tires on the trailer are nearly off the ground with the current setup when connected to my truck. The axels on the trailer are 8-lug, 2” square tube axels with leaf springs sat under the axel. Is there a kit to flip the axels or mount leafs on top of spring to get trailer closer to level of truck? I understand the limiting factor would be the lead spring seat located on the bottom side of the square tubing. Any help is appreciated.

Axle flip kits are great options for raising the suspension of a trailer. Trucks weren't as tall back then as they are now so I'm not totally surprised your trailer is sitting so nose high. We have 2 inch square U-bolt kits like part # CE23103 which you could use, but we don't have spring seats for this axle size. So you would have to remove the spring seats on your axle and weld them on the other side.
